3" flex pipe with 2.5"-3" flare custom only?
I need to get one that's the size of a catalytic converter. Would I have to buy a 3" flex pipe and find these parts myself, or does anyone know of a pre fabbed flex pipe converter replacement?
Everywhere I look, I find test pipes with flanges, or flex pipes without flanges. The reason I ask is that the 2.5" Inlinepro downpipe doesn't have a flex section, and doesn't flare to 3". Can anyone give me a link to where I can get something like this? Thanks!

what i did with my downpipe (revhard) is insert a 2.5" flex pipe into it and then about 7 inches down the pipe i flared it to 3" and had a 3" flange welded on. This bolted up to my 3" thermal perfectly. i dont know if thats what you're looking to do, but my plan should work for your application i think. hope this helps.

another option would be this:
2.5" Flex pipe (6" long) connected to a flared 2.5 to 3" 10-12" Section of pipe:
Flange it and just switch in and out.. allows you to run 3" exhaust like you want and can take it out when your needing to~

JEGS has a 2.5" to 3" reducer cone to give you a smooth transition over about 6" of length rather than an abrupt change that will add turbulance. it is $22 for 2 of them. PN 389-R3025
just weld a flex to one end and put a flange at both ends and you should be all set + or - a couple inches which will be no problem for someone with a little fab skill. I'll buy one off you if you end up getting them.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a 2.5" flex section in my current downpipe, but it's longer than most flex sections I've seen. According to the website, it's 12" long:
It's a nice piece, but there is no inner braide (more expensive). I'd rather use a shorter section of 3" flex for better flow. Thanks for the JEGS part number, I'll check it out.

Ok, I finally found stainless steel flared pipe! If anyone's interested it's here:
http://www.burnsstainless.com/....html
Now I need to determine the exact length the test/flex pipe needs to be. It's a 99 Civic Si, and after doing a search I came up with information about Integras only, and even the information in those posts varied from 17" to 23"! Could someone tell me please? Thanks!

i can sell you a flare foot of pipe cheaper thats not the issue, its like you said finding the exact length you need
it varies based on 100 million variables..
header, motor, chassis, exhaust, etc.

thats afoot long.. get that and your flex and just cut/weld to the length you need

I see you just added the flared pipe, thanks! I'll send you a pm.
Putting the 100 million variables aside, does anyone know the standard length of a 99Si's converter without the heat shielding?
