3" exhaust mandatory for 8psi or less???
hey guys i'm thinkin of turboin my sohc z6 but i am not real sure, if i do it wont be till next summer. but i am going to buy exhaust soon probably within the next month and was wondering if its gonna matter when i do turbo if i have 2 /14" or 2 3/8" exhaust. i know of course it would be better with 3 inch but will it hurt if i am only runnin low boost? how much a power difference would there be between the two at 8psi or less. Also i was lookin at the skunk2 catback by rsr, any comments? thanks...

Yes, it will hurt spool time... No, not tremendously...
I ran a 2.5 at 10 psi for a while... no problem... spool time just lags a bit.

alright cool, but the thing is i am not 100% sure if i am going turbo or not so i dont wanna buy 3" and then not turbo it and be stuck with 3" cause that would suck but then if i buy 2 1/4" or whatever it will be fine either way

I have the rsr/invidia exhaust (which is now the skunk 2 yadayada) and I am running 5-8psi (depending on mood) and my **** takes forever to spool, just get a 3inch. That is if you definately decide on turbo.

2.5" is a good general sized exhaust. When I ran it on my turbo LS, I ran straight thru, not cat to an ITR exhaust.
