245/45/16 on a 16x7.5" wheels? I Need Traction For The Street
Im looking into getting more traction on the street so i have decided im going with a wider pair of tires.
Would you think a 245/45/16" tire will fit on a 16x7.5" wide wheel?
Thanks In Advance...

Yes they would fit on the wheel but I am doubtful if they will fit under your fender without rubbing on the suspension. If you find out, I am extremely interested in what offset will work. I know for a fact 225s will fit on Integras w/o problems.

i know fullracegeoff was running 255's on his car so its possible to fit.
the setup on my 16s are..
16x7.5
+32MM Offsett
I had to roll all 4 of my fenders because it was rubbing but thats now been solved.
I would probally have to raise the car up to get it to fit.
Anyone other input is appricated.
Thanks!

Geoff's coupe is black, I don't have a clue if it's his DD, but the car you're thinking of is Motormatrix's old Midori Green EK.
Unless the 245/45's you're looking at are a drag radial, don't waste your time. Best tires I've ran on my car are 235/60/15 mickey thompson radials but a 26"-er isn't really practical for a daily driven car. 215/60/14 BFG DR's are narrow enough not to rub, but give you enough sidewall height to give you good traction.

Hmm okay mayb eim mistaken the color then. geoff posted a pic of his car to show the clearlance of 4" exhuast on his car and was running 255s in the front. i think it was on slipstreams, not 100% sure.

No your right, Geoff did have a Civic with 255's on it. I spoke to him about it and if I remember correctly he said they rubbed at full lock but he didnt really care bc it was a full-race car (get it? ugh lol). Plus they stuck out past the fender quite a bit.

Hmm stick out pass the fender. I dunno if i can deal with that. I would have to raise my car to almost stock height.
The rubbing i dont mind. I've delt with super slammed cars with 17s that rub at full clock but thats okay with me.
Hmm... i think i may go with the 245/45/16 then just to see hows the clearance etc..
now to find a used set before i blow my money on a brand new set.

245's will stick out of your fenders. 225's are borderline, and there's clearly a bulge on 235's.
Geoff does have a car with those huge BFG radials on it, but it's not a green EK. Look for pics of the first NDRA race in AZ this year, his is the nice black EG coupe with CF fenders.
