225/50/15 tires work on boosted 93 dx hatch?
I was wondering if anyone had ran 225/50/15 on a eg hatch with eibach pro springs. I think the spring drop is 1.2 all the way around it looks like it will work but the ride height is a litte taller like the 205/50/15 ride height is 23.07" and the 225/50/15 ride heght is like 23.87". The car is a street car with a built b18c1 with t3/to4e turbo will be running about 300whp. I would like to get as much tire to the ground as I can. Does anyone have pics of the 225/50/15 on a eg I have searched and find anyting on the subject. Any input will be helpfull THANKS>>>>>

Re: 225/50/15 tires work on boosted 93 dx hatch? (2.0lhatch)
i ran 225/50/15's on an ek with the pro-kit & a b-series. they rubbed on top and on the inside at full steering lock. these were hoosier R3S03's and were wider than most 225's.
i now run 215/50/15 for the street with the integra sportlines. these BARELY rub at full lock and don't rub on top unless i hit the bumpstops. the tires are kumho ecsta 711's and are $43/ea last time i checked!
material can be removed at the top of the fender where it meets the body to keep from rubbing on the top of the tire. with that done i think 225/50's on the street would be no problem. this is all for an EK hatch though, so i dont know if it will help. however the 215's are more likely to work and are definately good for the money.
hth!

The only problem with the 215/50/15 is tire selection is very small. 205/50/15 is out of the question not wide enuff.
Come on eg guys where are you at pics please really need help!!!!

WOT,
what size rim were you using to run the 225's?</TD></TR></TABLE>
15x7's. i think 225's are the most you could fit on a 7" wheel. 235's might work, but who makes them?
sorry for the late reply(spring break).

i hope it doesn't rain or snow where you live if you plan on running that wide of a tire size on the streets. last year i ran 205/50/15's during the spring and summer and when it rained i had problems with hydroplanning.
anyway, the largest 15" tire size i was able to fit on to my eg hatch were 215/50/15's which only rubbed when doing a full turn and when i hit bumpstops and ditches.
