I am currently negotiating with the seller on this vehicle and I was wondering what I should look for as far as signs that I shouldn't buy this car. I am worried about the clutch, how the turbo kit has, or will dmg the engine ( stock internals) he claims that he has only been running the kit for 9k miles. It has an exedy stage 3 hyper single clutch which seems like overkill for the power the car is making. I thought a stage 2 would be fine, correct me if im wrong here. Other than that the car has a clean autocheck, 1 owner (no rust or anything, the undercarriage is pristine).

He says it has a low and high boost setting with his boost controller, 240 hp on low boost @7lbs and 307 hp and 220ish ft/lb torque @10lbs. I know all jap would destroy this, maybe in a few years I can build her and go down to ft lauderdale, but for the time being I think it would suffice. I am just concerned, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

at that power if the tune is good the motor is fine...but signs in not buying the car the greddy kit lol

What's wrong with the kit? If it's in condition and the previous owner wasn't abusive to it then I don't really see a problem with it. If it is nearby, go look at it or have a professional inspect it.

well since you cant drive it i would be as careful as possible. ask what dealership he bought it from and give them a call to see when the last time he brought it there for service was. either that or find out where he got it tuned/installed and talk to the mechanic there. that price is pretty damn good for the mileage. flashpro is coming out soon and you could prolly pull some more hp out of it then. gl and have fun

Yea I spoke with the tuner, and he gave me positive input, as well as told me what I could do to increase the power and not exceed 10psi. It is a one owner car, and I will contact the dealership first. He offered to ship the car to me for free, or I could fly there to pick it up. Anyways, I have had my eyes set on a newer si for awhile, I may just keep looking, get a stock one, save and drive to alljap in a year =] Decisions, decisions...
