First choice honda
Second choice felpro
Why Honda first? Because the engineering hey put into developing the gasket for there motors

Those cheap *** kits on ebay the seals are always not exactly the right size and leak in some way. Not all of them but you always end up with a few leaky seals.
Go to honda or honda online is good discounts and get what you need from honda. I would steer away from felpro stuff too other than the mls headgaskets. teh oil pan gaskets leak, the rear mains leak etc..

Re: 2001 b18c1 rebuild gasket kit?
the only gasket that was a hit or miss on the cheapest gasket set i find on ebay was the oil pan gasket.
i have tried both cheap ebay gaskets and OEM honda gaskets. i prefer the cheap ones they sell on ebay. quality is pretty good and all the seals fit great like its suppose to. how can you go wrong for $50?
sure honda gaskets are great, maybe even the best. but there are other alternatives that are just as good and even cheaper if budget is a problem.
their valve stem seals are good quality also.
i probably pulled my cylinder head off about a dozen times for inspections. i re-used the valve cover gasket and grommets, spark plug tube seals, and camshaft seals without any problems or leaks going to 5 years.
i usually buy from this seller
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Acura-Integr...9cef9c&vxp=mtr
bought from him countless times for B20, B18, D16, and other makes and models. i am very impressed everytime.
sure honda engineered their gaskets but i doubt they produce or manufacturer them. they have other companies that specializes in producing them for the masses. and those companies sell them at wholesale prices and honda sells them to comsumers to make a profit.
so why dont i see people suggesting on using HONDA brand motor oil or HONDA anti-freeze coolant? its from honda so it must be great right?
well who would pay that much money for certian products when there are better and cheaper alternatives suited for other people

Ok.. you go do that, then. ...
And many of us DO use the Honda-OEM coolant over the other stuff. Some things like these gasket kits just a tiny bit better than almighty eBay or even the local parts store. And for a quite a few people, its worth the extra couple bucks to get the Honda gasket kits, just so they don't have to do it more than once.
I've even experimented on my older cars with these ebay gasket kits, just because it wasn't the nicer car of the bunch. (from the valve cover gaskets to the bolts and grommets to thermal gaskets....ALL JUNK, and had to replace them within days if not hours.) Went back to OEM, never an issue since. I wasted time, money, AND effort to boot, just to try and save few bucks overall
I understand your point a bit, but its not a one-size-fits-all mode of thinking when it comes to go going on the cheap.
But DO YOU... If it works for you.. you've rolled lucky dice. Remind me to be around you when the next lottery numbers come out.

Re: 2001 b18c1 rebuild gasket kit?
OEM Honda or nothing.
Nothing will "FIT", "PERFORM" and "LAST" better than OEM manufactured seals, o-rings, gaskets etc.
I know this because I work at Acura and have dealt with cheap aftermarket crap and it's all just that, CRAP!
Aftermarket seals and gaskets are usually poor quality manufactured copies, with no standards for tolerances and fitment.
I only use Honda Type 2 Antifreeze, DOT3 brake fluid and Acura 5w30 Synthetic oil developed specifically for the 2007-2012 K23a-Turbo Acura RDX, in my EJ1.
Spending alittle extra attention to detail when doing maintenance or "rebuilding" will not only increase life expectancy, but will "save" you money in the long run.
Spend slightly more now, spend little-to-nothing later.
