2 questions: white spark plugs & running hot
my h23 has been running a bit on the hot side lately and i thought it could have been the coolant system. (I'm also burning more gas than I normally would.) I checked out my spark plugs and they are white. doesn't that mean that i'm leaning out (i always get that one mixed up with black spark plugs)? I've tried a few things and so far i've replaced old main upper and lower radiator hoses and inspected my radiator cap (which i'll just replace any way although i don't think it's bad). Can anybody figure this out? Are the white spark plugs and my engine running hot related? I loath mechanics so i will take care of this myself eventually. I really have no idea how hot it is running because the electronic gauge cluster on my 92 si can be described as anything but accurate or precise. But it is running one or 2 electoric "bars" hotter.
