Default 2 port sizes on Endyn Catch Can

Hey guys,

I needed a quick answer on this. What size are the 2 ports on the Endyn catch can? Also what size barbed fitting comes wih the Endyn kit?

I'm guessing it is 5/8" NPT to 5/8" barbed, but my 5/8" ID hose doesn't fit over the fitting very snug. I suppose that I could heat the hose up to shrink it a little, or clamp it down really tight. Or maybe some electrical tape/teflon tape around that barbed fitting so the hose is more snug.

It's either that or buy a completely new NPT-barbed fitting.

All three ports are 3/8" NPT threads. If you wanted to, you could run some of the -8AN push on style hose. They sell that at local speed shops.

Sweet! thanks for the info.

Do you think it would be a good idea to use some tape around the barbed fitting so that my 5/8" hose will go onto it snug? I could also use some hose clamps to keep it secure. The 5/8" hose fits over the two Honda block fittings perfectly, but it's not as snug on the Endyn barbs. There's about 1/16" of space between the hose ID and barbed fitting, but it's not air tight like I want it to be.

I might eventually upgrade to a full SS line with some reusable AN hose ends. For now though I wanna use my 5/8" ID clear vinyl hose and the barbed fittings on the Endyn can.

Use screw down clamps. That way it will tighten the hose up for you on the barb. You do not want to use tape to try and seal anything, or try to keep it tight for that matter. Remember under higher boost applications, that can see as much as 80 pounds of oil pressure.

Your 5/8 inch hose doesn't fit because the fittings are for 1/2 inch hose.

So what size NPT would that make the port hole? I'm no good at eyeballing it, but my guess is it's a 5/8" NPT. The outer diameter of the threaded part measures 5/8", but I'm not suure if that's what diameter NPT goes off of.

Yep, for sure not 5/8. 1/2 is the size as I just bought hose for it.

Edit: The lower drain fitting is 3/8

opps, I forgot that SFWD 1934 already mentioned all three ports were 3/8". I guess I'll make a trip down to ACE hardware and see if they have any 3/8" NPT or 3/8" PT with 5/8" barbed fittings.
