Default 2.5" intercooler piping......too big?

Ive got a teg with b20 in it right now but puttin a gsr back in soon. Its got a t3/t4 57 trim turbo on it and hitting a full 10psi by about 4100. would dropping the intercooler pipe size to 2-2.25" increase spool time. Or should i just leave it. Im putting on an HX35 within the next month.

Smaller piping is certainly less volume to fill, so you'll see some increased responsiveness. I personally don't think it's the direction you'd want to go though.

There are some other things you can do to decrease spool time, either through tuning, headwork, or cams.
