2.5" Exhaust...ok for now?
Ok heres the deal. I'm scheduled to go to Jeff Evans to get my car tuned on Oct. 4th. I had planned on having a 3" exhaust by then along with cam gears, IM, etc. However, I'm running low on funds and bills take priority. After all this is a "toy" Anyway am I ok to get tuned using my current 2.5" exhaust and go back for a retune once i get a 3", cam gears, IM, etc?
Heres the current set-up (not on the car yet):
Spoolin performance Mani/2.5" DP/Dumptube/IC piping
57 trim .63 a/r
Fast-turbo.com oil lines
JRC 8" IC
RC 750's
GE Headstuds/OEM head gasket
Tial 38mm WG
MBC
Greddy type RS
Autometer boost gauge (borrowed from a friend)
2.5" exhaust (no cat)
Here's what I WON'T have yet:
Cam Gears
3 Bar map
3" Exhaust
GSR cams
Intake Manifold
TIA

you can make 300whp on a b16 with that turbo with a 2.5 exhaust. I read somewhere on here there is absolutely no difference in power at 250whp. maybe a tiny bit less spool time like 200-400 rpms. i say dont stress over it. getting tuned is whats most important. good luck
