2.5" to 2.25" Reducers for intercooler
I need a 2.5" to 2.25" reducer for the ends of my intercooler. I know turbohoses.com has them as well as other places on the internet, but my dilemma is i have to have them tuesday. I remember home depot has rubber reducers but will they work for intercooler piping?

Thanks guys, I will try out NAPA as well as home depot. If NAPA does not have the silicone ones I will buy a few extra since I will be taking a long trip up to Atlanta for the Nopi Nationals as well as a visit to the dyno.

2.5" radiator hose can be crushed down to 2.25 with no problems and is way more durable than the homedeopt poop pipe fittings. You can get a hose from napa for about 13 bucks that can make 3 straight connections and a 90 degree. My whole setup uses these. ghetto and reliable. silicon ones still sitting in my room. gonna change em just so it looks better.

what are the ones from napa made out of?
So they wont work at the 22-25psi mark huh? Looks like I better see if the dyno shop has any in stock...

I bet napa radiator hose will work for 25 psi. Some of the truck cooling systems (2.5" hose) operate at about 20psi i think and that is at a pretty high temp too. Silicone is your best bet though.

I didnt know nappa/home depot made reducers as well. I was under impression that home depot made the cheap rubber ones that explode, and i know nappa sells the radiator hose? but i though the were only straights?
Anyhow check this place out i got my order in 3-4 days
http://www.atpturbo.com $17.50 Blue, Black, or maybe red

Just for future reference for you guys that need reducers....
I actually went to 'Charleston Rubber and Gasket' and they have the real deal silicone hoses used for our applications. Anyways, they did not have reducers in stock. So what I did was got 2.5" silicone hoses and went to a MIDAS and had them flare the ends of my intercooler piping out to a 2.25". It works perfectly with the 2.5" silicone and no reducer needed at all. Just make sure that you are not using aluminum piping first, otherwise it may fracture/split.
Anyways, just some info in case anyone else runs into a reducer problem like i did.
