2.0 gsr builds (opinions please)
hello ladies and gents.. quick question
i see the ls v-tec guys are pulling high 12s built.. i have a gsr in my 94/eg/si
i need to have my lower end rebuilt.. so im thinking about going to inlinepro and let them do a 1.8 to 2.0 sleeved rebuild. complete with aebs sleeves.. im thinking 9.5:1 c.r. will be ok for a jrsc(race) tuned with neptune by evans.. now my question is what kind of times do you think i would be looking at?
the reason i ask is laskey racing offers a benson sleeved rebuild at 82mm for basically the same price..if anyone is going to spend 3500 for a complete rebuild regardless is going 2.0 going to be that big of a difference??? or should i stay closer to a stock bore sleeve? i am unsure how much material needs to be removed to install a 2.0 sleeve and i am affraid of having the sleeve shift as my friends did in his h22..
opinions and info please.. sorry if i am a little unclear.. i already own the jrsc.. going to use a crv crank pulley on the next install.. i heard ppl are getting a few more lbs out of them..
thanks

Re: (4mydad)
yea.. i own the jrsc now and i like the low end tqe.. you can get around 14lbs with the race sc and different pulleys.. plus a good tune.. it should run well..low 12s im guessing with a full-race traction bar and lsd..
im still wonderous if i should stay near the stock bore or go 2.0?? its the same money both sleeves (bensen) and (aebs) are good sleeves but is it going to be worth the trouble? i mean if theres no reliability issues block wise with the 2.0 and it nets me an additional 20-30hp (which im doubting) then ok.. if not i will just send it to laskey..and go bensen and cp.. there set ups are decent!!

Re: (hatr-aid)
Just have Laskeyracing do a 84mm Benson block. It should be the same price either way.Maybe a touch more if they charge extra for the bigger bore.
