1998 gsr turbo questions?
hey im looking for a turbo kit between 2k$ - 3k$ im in school and at work all the time and dont have much time to piece together my own kit and im pretty low on dough lol
im not looking to make a huge amount of hp i just want some more power but keep it reliable around 220-250 whp
i still have stock internals
ive seen alot of revhard kits for around 2500 and it looks like a good deal
anyone had experience with them or know of any good kits in that price range or know of any threads maybe already made about this?
thanks

The revhard kit is actually ok, but you need to ask yourself whether or not you want to keep A/C and Power steering. Most people in about 30 seconds are going to say FULL-RACE and/or PEAK BOOST, or even build your own, but you want to look at the type of engine management and injectors that you want to use. Even these highly expensive turbo kits do not include engine management. Yes, FMUs can work with the stock ECU and check valves FOR A WHILE, but it does put undue stress on the fuel system because it is doubling fuel pressure in your system. There are many alternatives that are available that I'm sure that others will swear by, so look, research, and by all means, PLAN AHEAD!!! Make sure that the motor is good condition as well as the OEM components.

Re: (bigbadboy)
That's not SSAC. There have been a few threads on Vecco turbo kits. Apparently people are fairly pleased with them. I have no personal experience with VECCO or their products, but if you want a complete kit with no headaches go with revhard. Looks like you're gonna have to piece some stuff together if you get the VECCO.
