1996 civic B18C1 pushing 500+hp question
im seeing if its best if i buy a B18C1 for 3k with tranny and axles and ecu and change out the internals to forged, such as the pistons, H-beam Rods, and crank, with a high performance gasket
also i need to change head cams to JUN stage 3 cams, gears, titanium retainers, and high performance valve springs
seeing that i will change out those parts, is it best if i just buy a short block and an cylinder head and do it my self? or buy it whole and replace parts cause i will have to take the engine apart anyway
also, would u guys recommend me doing stage 3 head port from Import Performance, it says to give 100-105% exhaust flow, suppose to give 100hp but on the low end u lose power but on high u gain it, wut u guys recommend?, i will be running that stage 3 head job from Import Performance with possibly a 460hp GT35R Dual BB, do u recommend me doing it? so possibly i can do over 520whp at 460psi boost?
also, when running high boost do u guys recommend i do a big bore sleeve for each cylinder, or will close to 600hp hold on the B18C1?
do u guys recommend i knife edge the crank shaft?
doing close to 600hp on pump gas, is going to a stand-alone EMS system recommended? or could i go hondata or just go S-AFC2?
my goal is a 11-12 second car with the fastest possible 0-60mph, also im going to do all the necessary fuel mods for the turbo i will use, im going to get either an FMAX turbo kit with BB T3/T04B 400+ hp for 3.4k or a REV hard stage 2 with GT35R Dual Wet BB for 3.6k
also my AOL name is AntDX316, so IM me so we can talk about this more

600hp on pump gas in a honda is impossible.
I suggest reading and learning some more before posting relativly stupid questions like these.

i dont really have any information to help answer these questions for you but just wanted to say to welcome to honda-tech and if you use the search button feature at the top right hand of your screen, you can find countless threads of information on this topic. Good luck and welcome

Jesus tap dancing christ that is going to be one scary *** car.
I dont think youll be able to do that on pump gas, unless if you have a place that sells 113 octane at the pump. But tuning will make or break you on that.
For your tuning i say go with a Hondata if you cant get a real stand alone system like Accel dfi fuel management or something like that. But then again it all depends on who tunes your car.
I dont know about using Jun Stage 3 cams because arent they more for NA purposes unless if they made a Stage 3 turbo cams (which i dont know if they made or not yet)

I dont think thats possible. 460psi of boost? No way i dont even know of a turbo lasting that high to make that. Also you could probably make 520whp at about 18 - 20psi.
This thread should be moved to the FI forum because they will help you more then any of us really. This is about the best of my help.
Tuning is the key.

Your JUN stage three cam's aren't going to work with boost, they are meant for a Naturally aspirated car. You will most likely not make 500 hp with either of those two "kits" you named -- the turbo's don't have it in them. You will not be able to drive on the street with 500hp, either... FWD just = tire spin through... fourth? and it's not happening on pump gas.
All other things named, port and polish is always good, forged internals are a must for any real power, and an SAFC II isn't going to do it for fuel management. Uberdata, hondata, ems, or others are necessary. I wrote those in order of price.
All in all, your a n00b, and I think there is A LOT more research your going to need to do before you go anywhere's NEAR a 500hp Honda. But, as I've stated, if your serious many on here will help -- but noticing that you asked about 460psi of boost... and then go on to talk about 600hp... I have my doubts. Oh, and lastly -- you can meet your goal of 11's/12's with 300-350whp in a hatch... and that, on the other hand, IS possible with one of those "kits" and some good tuning. Hell, it can be done w/o even building the block.

Re: 1996 civic B18C1 pushing 500+hp question (Daew0)
u sound retarted. you want 600whp on pump gas in a 4 cylinder.... not gonna happen. you want a 11-12 second car with 600whp but a fast 0-60. any turbo you buy to give u 600whp is not going to spool up to give you a good 0-60. and i garuntee you that if you do a "head port" it will not just "give you" 100whp. and if you knew anything about what you were talking about at all you would know that it does not take anywhere close to 600whp to run a 12 slip. lol u asked if u need big bore sleeves to run 460psi of boost. what the **** are u talking about.
and about buying a block and replacing **** or building. your prolly better off buying and replacing because theres alot of other **** your gonna need that it sounds like you wouldnt know how to install so that would just make the shop bill even higher....i.e(water pump, oil pump, IM, ditributor, cams gears, belts etc.) and like the other guy said.... there is no "turbo kit" out there that will give you parts to make that much power. search and learn. and i hope your not trying to drive this car on the street... but then again if it was a track car you would be using race gas.... im speachless.
