I "HAD" an 18g on my b16a bottom end and gsr head. Made some decent power @ 8 psi.
here is what the graph looked like.
some details also:
-ceramic coated greddy turbo manifold
-3" in downpipe and exhaust (punched cat)
-hondata s200b
-skunk 2 manifold
Too bad I broke a ring land 2 1/2 weeks later...

that is what i dont want to happen, thats why i started this thread to see how long peoples stock motors lasted on what boost setting. i'm planning to build a motor but i want to make this one faster for now

ok about 5k on blue box at 9psi. then 10k on uberdata at 9psi. finally 5k at 12psi, and still counting. So thats about 20k miles total. I would run more if i had a larger map sensor... lol

Goodluck dude. The Dark side is unforgiving...lol! I still don't know what cause my ringlands to break. I wasn't hard on the car at all.

I blew my first B16A2. Oil leaked out and didn't know it until it froze. I have a B16A in there now with the same turbo (rebuilt 18G). All stock internals and running at 7 psi with the AEM EMS. Get 550 cc injectors and you 'll be set for the build. I have a 2.25 in dp with a magnaflow cat and get 202 whp and 153 wtq. But that was with 87 octane (oops)

i have 525cc injectors, and uberdata.
yeah, i check my oil on a regular basis because im afraid that something like that might happen to me.
you put down 202whp on 7 psi?
thats not bad at all. esp on 87 octane, what are you using to tune?
bump for more people who run 18g's and how much boost do you all run?

Yea i have the 18g Greddy kit with 550's and 2.5 downpipe. Tuned with a s200 at 10 lbs and im only seeing around 180/140.....please share your mods so i may figure out where i am going wrong.....
For the record.....i am runnin 10lbs on stock internals and my car is a daily driver and does fine. I installed a manual boost controller set at 10 lbs (dont trust electronic ones) and i set my boost cut on s200 at 10.5 for spikes. It spikes occasionally (cold morns) but for the most part....very reliable and gave the lil car something it never had.....a frikkin passing gear

Judging by your dyno sheet, I'd say detonationation. After about 5k you can see how the graph gets more erratic and less linear (at least thats what I was told how to tell if your detonating).

Not just that, the a/f ratio is in the high 12's and doesn't dip below 12's until near the rev limit. I don't know what the compression ratio drops to with the gsr/b16a combo or what the total timing was, but that seems very lean for a street setup--unless you were using race gas, stronger internals, or going far all out power with no concern for reliability. Just my .02
