You could probably get away with it, but it will die up top. What do you have done to yoru accord to get into low 15's n/a?

A 4g63 only has .2L less and it pulls to a 7500 redline (i think its 7500). A 4g63 flows much better than a F-series non-vtec head. I think it would be fine.

a 14b doesnt pull to 7500 on a 4g63.. i don't know what eclipse you've driven in. But they're die out around 5000rpm.

Word, I've got a 90 Talon TSi AWD as my daily driver now. In the 3-5K RPM range the perform very admirably. But anything above 5500 on a stock setup feels like it just runs out of breath. The 4G63 is a stout engine, i've got a good bit of respect for it, and i'm a Honda man. It's got 7K redline with a 1.7:1 rod stroke ratio. I mean the engine would have no problem revving to 8K if it could make power up there.

How can you run 12's/11's on a turbo that is dead up top? So are you saying the 14b is out of its efficiency range up there?

btw, whoever of you sent me an IM, I cant read it cuz i'm a trial user

the only thing that i can think of is that for low boost setups (like most custom honda turbos) stock turbos dont flow enough air at low boost to be efficient. most DSM's running 12's on the stock turbo arent running 8 psi... more like 20. however i do belive that the DSM turbo mani will bolt up with minor modification to your engine (which is why im assuming your posting this) so just try out the 14b and see for yourself. im sure theres not alot of people speaking from actuall experience here that have had that turbo on a f22

The DSM mani do bolt up to my engine...the kit is almost complete....I bought the dsm mani+14B+450CC from a friend for real cheap...

But like you say, nobody have any exoerience with that kind of set-up....I'll see by myself....

I think that it will be perfect for custom set-up(dont really care if it die over 5K) but the 14B will probably wont last long(du to over spinning to reach the max boost on my 2200CC engine....)

I think if you're looking for a good power adder for your daily driver, then you're on the right course. If you keep the boost at like 6~8psi you should be happy with the extra pep. Unless the turbo is in **** poor condition it should last a good while b/c at lower boost you're not really gonna be over spinning the turbo.

That exactly what i'm looking for ......do you think that I could hit the 200WHP....IT's actually my goal...I should be close to 140 to 145Whp right now..and i'm planing to boost it up to 8 PSI...with the SMC+...

I did 15.11 my fastest run....I have a 13.99 sec goal...by the end of summer...Will I be close??....

i tihnk you could hit 200 whp..
youll like the midrange but trust me youll hate not having top end.
depending on traction you might beable to hit 13.99.
goodluck and keep us posted.. your set up is cheap..might aswell try it and use it as a learning experience...

No prob...I'll keep you up tu date....

Btw: I can't just imagine what this kind of set-up could do in a 92 hatch ...maybe one of the best bang for the buck....
