jinxproof99 got a a b18c1 motor in his civic engine had 140k on it and he ran 11's on a stock engine tuning is the key

Rebuild engine with forged pistons such as arias,JE+srp,AEM and such.thats if you dont crank boost up,if you do,u need more, such as sleeves + rods.

What other internals besides pistons and rings needs to be changed? I know it's a good idea to replace all gaskets and seals, but would I need new valves and springs, too? I plan on boosting no more than 7 lbs.

you can run 12's easy if compression is good, if not you will need to freshen the motor. for 10PSI you can run stock motor all day long

Bring the Rods and Crank to a machine shop have it checked and get new crank and rod bearings, replace the rod bolts with new ones, pref from ARP.get a new oil pump too.

do a compression and leakdown test. This will give an idea of how your internals size up to the task. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/star.gif

Re: 130k+ (LoudLude)

exactly...compression test and leakdown test should be down to see how good of condition the motor is in. Just remember you can blow up a motor with 3k miles on it just as easily as a motor with 130k. Install everything correctly and make sure the motor is getting enough fuel.
