-12AN D series block fitting i need reduced..with what??
Picked up the BnR D series block fitting to replace my black box. Shot over to home depot to find something to reduce it to like 5/8" or 3/8" so that I can run hosing to my breather tank which supports 3/8" inlet fittings and came up short. Does anyone know what kind of fitting I can buy to make this work?

are you looking for a barb fitting for a rubber line or an AN fitting for braided line?
i dont think you are going to find a -12 to hose barb adapter so you will need to do something like a -12 to -6 AN adapter then a -6 AN socketless hose barb. (-6AN = 3/8" hose)

side note: 3/8" hose is pretty small for a catch can. why not run a -12An hose like the fitting is designed for?

I'm going to run a 5/8 hose I've decided. Now its just a matter of getting the damn thing on this AN..looking into these links now, thanx!

You could get an aluminum 5/8 barb fitting. Strip the coating off both fittings. Cut both where needed and weld them together to make 1 fitting...just my immediate thought.

And either shave some of the outside off or lube it really well and force the line over it. It should work.
Or buy a -10 male to -12 female adapter from jegs and a - straight push loc fitting from jegs for a perfect fit, since -10 is 5/8th. Only problem with that is it's like 25 dollars in fittings

So basically is this something I can kind of rig on my own? I have plans on just getting rid of the threads in order to make the AN fitting smooth and reducing it with a pluming fitting that will simply slide over it then hitting it with some plumbing welds maybe some JB for some added protection, the way I see it all this fitting is really doing is guiding pressure to a breather tank..also since its behind the block it doesn't really need to be the nicest item under my hood.

do you have a picture of your catch can? im thing you should try to adapt the catch can fittings to -12 then run a some push lock hose ends and hose. it will look clean and doesnt require and "ghetto rigging"
i just donr see the point of paying $35 for the blcok fitting then removing the threads. how do you even plan on doing that. sounds like a mess thats going to leak

My catch can only supports 3/8 fittings on both sides. One side I have a barbed 3/8th fitting that supports a 3/8th hose is being run to my valve cover from the stock port and on the other side I'm using a 3/8th fitting that is simply threaded on both sides that supports a 5/8th hose that will be coming from the block. I'm going to be calling every local shop today to see if anyone has the 12AN reducer fitting in stock, if not I'm gonna have to get crafty with it cuz my tune is friday. I'm pretty sure that sliding a copper fitting that's tight as **** along with some plumbing welds and JB might get the job done just fine..I've seen catch setups made from arizona cans and even shittier components that work just fine.
