Default 11,500 rpm and lots of booost ! is it worth it.. JG Springs

Strip Valve Spring Kit (6AL4V titanium retainers) #4736*

The Strip Kit will accommodate any high lift, high rpm and high boost applications up to 11,500 rpm

I found the above part number.. when lookin at the JG website.. ehhe i wonder how much these babies are.. and if the extra RPM would help... iv changed almost eveything in my b16a2 engine... sleeved block (Darton), je pistons, eagle rds, JG intake mainfold, humm and plan to run loads of boost..but extra RPM could neva hurt.. lol

I"V SOO GOTA stop spending money !!!!!

anyone used these ? or know how much they cost ? Im hoping rocket can do a unreal price for me.. on them... !

Regards James

craaapy !!

well im using a 57 trim t3t4 turbo with a .63 ar wheel.. with a maxrev setup... hondata, 550cc injectors etc and yeha..

but the stock rpm limit on the b16a2 = like 8200 - 8500... im guessin with these i could run 9500 rpm.. but yeah.. wonder if the turbo would take it..

i wonder.. !

The JG stuff isnt' even out of development yet ... TBA...
you'll be waiting a while for those items... as well as their cams...

Crane cams just released a full line of cams, springs, retainers,
and their own crane/ferrera magnesium rollers (for like 1400/set almost)

If you are running stock springs, consider something from Web Cams. Good springs at a reasonable price. Don't want to float a valve with your set-up

I'm boosting and reving the **** out of my crower valvesprings & ti retainers. Raised revs to real 8800rpm, more revs not useful, cause power is falling off.

Do yourself a big favor, don't buy the JG aluminum retainers, that stuff is crap. I wouldn't want my enemy to run those retainers. If you are looking to run that much RPM the BEST valve springs hands down are the Eibach valve springs. They cost about $100 more than their competitors but well worth the money. They use the best materials on the planet and make one of the best valve springs even for the domestic market. Very few shops have access to them, so many people do not push them. They were specifically designed for racing purposes and that spring fits only on the Bseries Vtec head. To prove it the valve springs have a part number on the spring. Very few springs have a part number directly on the spring. The springs are supposed to be good to about 11,000 but please check carefully before running that rpm, valve weight and retainer weight and cam lift may affect that total rpm. Just to inform you, many companies like Crower will find a V-8 domestic spring off a chevy or ford and find one that works. Most of those domestic springs will work but not specifically designed for the car. I guess it would be like Ford motorsports looking through all their OEM stock springs and finding a one that will lower a honda. Sure it may work, but is that what you want. Like Web cams, you get all kinds of spacers and washers to make their crap work. Also a work on retainers, the lightest retainer is not the best. If that retainer or spring happens to break, you know what happens, kiss that valuable motor good by. So don't cheese on valvetrain parts.

Hey Ed...for the valve springs, im pretty sure Eibach makes them for Crower. What alot of people do not do right is set up the correct spring height and pressure for the cam. This will wear down both. I shift my car at 10,000 at around 30 pounds of boost with the Web kit with no problem. I would hardley call that crap...just my own experience though.

for that high rpm, you have to worry about a lot more than just valvesprings.
