well, ricer engine technology dictates the higher you rev, the faster your car goes.

higher your top speed is in each gear, also can allow for a broader powerband and less traction issues at upper rpm's (higher speed) then lower...

it been proven the only way to get power of the small engine is rev the **** out of them or boost it , and why not do both ,, right

All you are going to do is shift the powerband higher, you are not necessarily going to have a broader powerband. You are going to have to get a turbo that is going to support 10k rpm, which is going to spool slower........

you don't necessarily have to keep adding power in the upper rpm either ... as long as it stays steady, rev it till it falls off. if you can fall deeper in your powerband you'll def. be faster.

I revved my 57 trim .63 a/r to 9300ish ... it didn't make much more power that last 1000 rpm, but it never fell ... it was just as fast as my previous build that was 40 more whp, 30 more tq .... but only revving to 8200.

what precautions (ignition, damper, etc) need to be made to rev to 10,000? if i end up keeping my 30R for my built motor, i might rev close to that... and i've never got a straight answer yet.
