Default 100hp Direct Port on the h22 too much?

Just curious, I currently have a 50hp single shot and am upgrading in the spring/summer. I have the digital 6+, plugs, walbro 255 pump (go in later), B&M fpr and guage, and the NX progressive controller. My question is just if its too much for the stock h22 block and also, what fuel pressure should it be at? Stock is 47-54 i believe.

Yes it is. But there is only one way to find out for sure.

I disagree, the 100shot, will be fine. Tune it, use a direct port, and tune it, and have enough fuel, and tune it, and have a good ignition system, and tune it. Tune it, need I say more?

....after all that he could screw up his pistons anyways.

We're not talking about an LS motor here, H22's are known for having weak pistons. Stock H22 pistons tend to bust ringlands at around 9-10 PSI on FI.

That's about 120-150 HP over stock for FI, a 100 shot might be a lot less then that but why risk it?

Well I was actually hoping to go from a 50hp single to a 80 direct port, but ive been told that 100hp is the smallest that I can go.

Ive been talking to NX and they said that to run a 75 hp shot I need to use a 22/18 N/F jets at only 10psi of fuel pressure. Do they want me to lower the fuel pressure so that I get the rated 75hp shot? Or is it some safety issue? If I run those jets at the stock pressure ~47(since i cant change the fuel going to the nitrous) will the system run a little bit rich? I kinda want that.

Also, this may be a stupid question, but the larger the jet number, the larger the size of the hole right?

it will work. but watch your compression and plugs. everytime i spray i pull out my plugs and check em. i also do a compression test the next day. oh yeah and get that fuel pump in. im spraying 75 shots on my gsr DP. i would jet up to a 100 but i have no money for a fuel puel pump .

as for fuel pressure 47 for stock? seems kind of high. my is at 45-50psi on idle ( the needle bounces too much) with my fpr. it was around 41psi stock. just keep an eye on those plugs and you should be fine

Hey what kit do you have and what size jets are those? The helms manual said the h22a fuel pressure was 47-54psi which i have never changed so. I have yet to get the B&M guage and fpr in though. When I do, what should the pressure be set to? I also have a V-AFC, should I richen things? I dont know any dynos near me so its kinda hard to get some tuning ALL THE TIME.
