yes you can. and there are plenty of threads on this in search. however, i had experience w/ this subject recently, so i want to chime in and tell you that the radio shack resistor sucked for my set up. i'm not saying it has never worked...but imo, the stock resistor boxes from the older civics and accords work wonders. i have no more hesitation, and i dont stall from a stop anymore. but thats in my experiece. click in archieved in fi forum and hit resistor. plenty to read about. hope that helps.

I had the ratshack resistors and they did not help at all. I was skipping and popping in the higher rpm. A resistor box made a ton of difference, even though my real problem was fuel pressure. It also looks like ***. Those big bricks sitting over the fuel rail...I was able to reuse the factory loom and brackets with the resistor box. It looks stock. There's my .02!

I've been using radio shack resistors w/ absolutely no problems whatsoever for over 20,000 miles and almost a year. if you just go buy yourself some loom at your local electronics store it doesn't look bad either.

ive had the radioshack resistors for like 4 months on my turbo Y8. no probs so far. loom is the plastic conduit that covers wiring. my setup w/the resistors looks cleaner than running wires from the resistor box IMO.

yes i will tell u i did the same thing. tried to save some time and cash by home makeing resisters. bought ones from radio shack and tested them before i installed them. but after being installed they were ******* up all over the place. so my suggestion would just be to get a honda oem resistor box. there like 15 or 20 bucks. and much much much more reliable.
