Sounds like a beast of a set-up. What do you plan on revving the engine to? If your going to go to 8k+ i say go with a big snail like a sc61 or a gt35r. As far as the 79mm bore, how much sleeve is there between cylinders? As long as there is enough room for the headgasket to get a good strong seal than i say go for it.
With a build up like that id shoot for around 350-400whp without stressing that headgasket.

Check those forums out. There are a few guys doing big 450+whp builds.

I think Ladysman "big block" d is 78mm bore.........biggest I have heard of.

You'll notice i said without stressing the headgasket, it really depends on how thin that headgasket is between the cylinders, a good friend of mine had a 85.5 mm boosted ls/vtec, i know his headgasket was only a few mm wide between cylinders..... he still made over 400whp but you never know when the cylinder pressure could blow that headgasket. Im sure your set-up is more than capable of handling over 500 whp but you could be chancing it. I definately wouldnt push it if this is your daily driver.

Sorry I don't have any advice for you, but a question.... do you think that a b-series motor with a comparble setup would put out about the same power and torque? If so, then dam you have a nice *** motor (regardless) on your hands...

Yes, I have a 78mm block that was built by Endyn. Larry (at Endyn) won't build anything bigger than 78mm for boost. My headgasket wasn't that bad but a 79mm I think would be too far. Let us know though if you decide to do it. I would like to know the results.

79mm , i wouldnt boost on that .

cp pistons are the absolute **** i have those . eagle rods are a nice choice , make sure you get the good rod bolts .

and im going to run a gt35e on my sohc setup . others are runnning the sc61

no , because an 84mm gsr still has enough meet on the sleeves . i wouldnt go over 3mm above stock bore.

Just going to have to make sure the tuning is spot on. Not much hope for a rebore. SC 52 or 60 should give you what your after. http://www.wiredspeed.com/item...c=PRE

I would be very careful pushing JG sleeves to 79mm.
They dont have the greatest reputation, and they frankly look like they're just re-lined blocks with a welded in block guard...
