1/4 for 89 hf with zc turbo
kit goes as follows,
t25, side mount ic, 450's, smc, 1g bov, hf manifold 2.5 turbo back exhaust, no cat,10psi.
What do you guys think this will approx run in 1/4. i know that driver will come into play and so will traction but just throw some numbers out there, because i have the turbo kit ready, and i need some more numbers to make me even more anxious. please let me know what you guys think. thanks

Low 13's, high 12's if you lightly strip it + slicks. Your mileage may vary depending on driving skills, tuning skills, etc.
I've seen a few B18B HF's knock off ~12.0 on 10 psi + slicks... but 10 psi B18B is a bit more than a ZC will make.

yeah, thats what i was thinking. I would love to see it hit 11's but i'm having a hard time believing i will even reach 12's. anyway, sounds good. i just need to find injectors and ic piping and i should be good.

11's with stock bottom end? I'm not sure but i believe that the max power a zc can handle before the rods break is around 200 hp. i dont know whether this is crank hp or wheel hp, but i know its one of those. so do you really think that this can get to 11's on a stock bottom end. If this is true i'm now the happiest man alive. thanks.

11's? are you kidding me? he'll be making like 150hp to the wheels. 10lbs on a T25 is not very much. how much does the car weigh? if its like 1200lbs i could see it hit 11's. but i am guessing like 2300lbs. so i would say high 13's to low 14's

The rods will hold up to 200hp at the crank. No one said the pistons or crank would hold that though.. Luckly the T-25 doesn't push much in the way of CFM. Judging from actually working with a DOHC ZC in an HF CRX, I'd say mid to high 13s.

I know a kid with a ZC in a 4dr 92-95 stock...With hondata does 13.0 on a full interior and street tires @ 11psi..Its tuned prefessionally though...now imagine that setup in a crx...the only thing he will need is a good driver and traction and im sure he will be high 11's low 12's...ALSO he will def. have to upgrade that turbo to boost it serious

dood, honestly you won't see 11's with that setup, no way with a T25. I personally think saying he will hit 12's is taking it a bit far. Mid to high 13's sure, if you can launch it.
Does anyone here really belive a T25 is going to flow enough CFM to run 11's? Please. What's a ZC's stock compression? Like 9.0-1?
Even if it could you still have to factor in:
Suspension mods, what tranny, what clutch, how tall are your tires, etc?
If you get it tuned well its should be pretty quick, but don't go out excpecting to **** up LS1's and ****. Post charts and slips when you're done. Good Luck.
He's ******* with you.

Re: 1/4 for 89 hf with zc turbo (98AccordEX)
man, i really thought that my car was going to run 11.00 i'm mad now.
well let me put it this way, my car ran 16.0 flat with the zc(granted there were some major imperfections to the setup which would limit warranting a better time) but, to assume that my car would run @ least 4 seconds slow(ie 11.9999999 > 4secs), is just follish on my behalf, but i was just wondering what you guys thought. it makes me feel confident that at the very least my car will be fast. so either way i'm happy.
and by the way, it's tested that the car can handle up to 200 hp. The rods are the weakest link. I'm not going to push it, but truth be told, i wouldnt be suprised that if the motor could stand 250 crank hp or 200 wheel hp. The reason the rods go are because of detonation, so if you take that factor out, i'm sure it could hold more hp.
oh yeah and accord,
i'm not really sure but, zc's only have 80whp stock? 60 hp is lost in the drivetrain? I find this somewhat hard to believe, but like i said, i dont know the facts. From your stats i would assume that since the zc makes ~ 135 hp and it goes down to 80 hp, which is 59.25%, and so the hf has 62 hp * .5925 = ~ 37 hp to the wheels. damn thats hard to believe. you would think that honda would try to save more of it's precious hp, since they barely make a lot anyway. well thanks for the comments. keep them coming.
