00 gsr w/ATI procharger..im new
well as the title states im new here. im spoolie im on a ton of other boards. i have a 00 gsr with a ATI procharger with upgraded 3 row fmic.
the engine is stock block/crank/rods, p73 pistons, ctr head, dual springs, crower custom cams, sk2 pro intake, 72mm tb, tanabe header/exhaust, 650's, aem ems, ect....
im sitting on tokico coilovers and run ssr integral gt wheels.
just off the dyno...(Carma Performance in Nashville, TN rules) netted my 288.6/188 with the 2.55" pulley...i have the 1.95" pulley on my desk, that one is going on next week. those dyno results are on a dyno dynamics not a mustang or dynojet.
on to the flames....

Re: 00 gsr w/ATI procharger..im new (spoolie)
I'll tell you this, it aint your typical HT car, thats for sure. I kinda like it, minus your Ebay lip. I'm curious to see how the hell the manifold for that setup looks like. That's the first time I've seen that type of placement of the snaaail. Got any close up pics of the manifold?

I meant "exhaust manifold" not intake.
Unless... is that snail belt driven?
*EDIT* I guess it is belt driven.
How's the response with this setup? Lag?
I think this systems cost does not outweigh the performance that a typical Turbo setup would yield. At $4500, you can make a beast of a car with a typical setup. Just my .02

zero lag...ive owned several snailed unit. always small problems with turbo's. this is uber reliable and my daily driver, also im older than most on this forum. that is a key factor to me is dependability.

first time i have ever came across an ATI on a 'teg. also somewhat surprised that you're running cast pistons with boost. i'm still amazed at times at the beating put them through without fail. lastly what kind of MPG are you getting and what did the supercharger actually cost? i would think you could source one for a good deal less than 4500.

pretty sweet man. you had me thinking about doing that until i saw you have to remove your bumper reinforcement! don't really want to sacrafice safety.

Unfortunately 'zero lag' is not an accurate description of the boost curve of a centrifugal supercharged setup. Boost increases with RPM, in essence you have the 'lag' of a really big turbo setup that doesn't make full boost until redline.

Re: 00 gsr w/ATI procharger..im new (HybridcivicLS-T)
Honestly I would have spent a little more and gone forged - and turned the boost up, way up. Large comp wheels like that are usually more efficient over 10psi. With an intercooler, you can get boost fairly high w/o issues - besides the belt/tensioner.
Honestly I would still go turbo. If you go with a function-over-form approach, turbos kick ***. Most people just go with too large a turbo, and don't think about things like divided housings, boost controllers, etc. The only issues I ever have is from not using brand-new parts, which is universal regardless of turbo/sc choice.
Anyways, if you're spinning to 9200 rpm reliably, you're doing something right.

Re:
Not the normal to see a procharger on a teg, very nice... something different.
Clean car too, I like it alot... welcome.
The placement of the blower is very different, that 3row looks nice and should support alot more boost! Aem ems is doing it right on management, now just add some more boost, some good internals, and maybe a couple other little things... could be a recipe for some pretty substantial increases in power.
What boost you see peak on that pulley now?

No worries, learning is why the forum is here. Everyone is not going to have seen or know everything.
EDIT: To the OP, just curious... what headunit is that in your procharger setup? Looks like a decent size... is that just the c1a or is it an upgraded unit as well?

Man U FTW
I've been on this site for a while and i can honestly say this is the first one i've seen. It looks like you did everything right on your setup; however, i'm still going to take a turbo setup over an SC'd Honda anyday...no offense

So probably what he was refering to some people might jump on your mistaken response to flame you.

Ati procharger does not make turbo setups, the belt, the bracket/ tensioner setup, the placement and talk of pulley changes, etc will clue you in for the future.
