}}} Does this block look sleeved? {{{
The sleeves are about 7mm or so thick and there spaced about 7mm from the block's wall at the smallest point. Bore is either 81mm(stock) or 81.5mm. What do you guys think? Didn't seem like there was any way a block guard my friend had lying around would ever fit in the block. I have never built a motor so I have no clue here. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Re: (tokesGTR)
they are not stock those are darton press in sleeves, notice how much thicker the iron part of the sleeve is? The engine is sleeved, i'd put money on it, not to mention that each iron liner is touching the adjacent liner where in a stock motor they would be just barely touching if at all

Re: (Soccerking3000)
Those were the exact same indications that were leading me to believe they were not stock. The sleeves seemed allot thicker then I remembered. Plus, the block guard didn't seem like it would EVER fit in there but again I am not 100% on that.
Please keep the opinions coming

i dont think there needs to be any more "opinions" the block is sleeved, they arent full replacement sleeves but it IS sleeved and will do its purpose.

Id like more opinions as everyone is not really in an agreement at this point. I believe you that it is I am just trying to see what other people have to say. I would like to find out the brand as well if possible. Thanks
Iv never heard of a difference between "full replacement" and non- full replacement. I know most companies leave some part of the stock sleeves, is that what you are talking about?

So you believe these were done by RS Machine? Does RS machine use darton sleeves for open deck or do they have there own?
Thanks

If you search HT a little more, you will find that not everyone will always agree
The block is sleeved as SoccerKing stated. I would listen to that person...the knowledge is definitely there!

darton makes press in iron liners that are thicker than stock and are not a complete replacement.
As for the different between a full replacement sleeve and a partial replacement, a full replacement, replaces the iron liner and the outer aluminum liner with a solid ductile iron sleeve, a partial replacement replaces just the inner iron liner with a thicker one while still leaving part of the aluminum outer support there.

Re: (tony413)
Those are aftermarket sleeves. You can tell because each clyinder has a a line that shows that there individual sleeves. This style is like the Benson ,Rs machine style.
