*The great turbo test*
Which precision turbos would you like see tested against each other?
I'm going to run a small test on t3 precision turbos
and a seperate test on t4 precision turbos
Same car, same motor, same intercooler, same efi, same tuner...
all that's different will be the turbo and manifold.
I will try my best to fulfill your requests.

id like to see a comparison between identical t3 and t4 sc61's. as far as spool and top end power is concerned

Re: *The great turbo test* (SEFIxCivic)
I'd like for you to test a sc61 with the S-cover against a pt61 with the S-cover. I know the sc61 works good, but i'm interested in what effect the t4 exhaust side would have on this turbo. I also have the pt61 w/S-cover and always wanted to see the difference between the two on the same car.

I will reply to this when I get home. Subscribing to it. If this goes through should be a very informative test.

Re: *The great turbo test* (SEFIxCivic)
What is the aim here? Best top end power? Lowest boost for xxxWHP?
I would say the aim should be best overall powerband for that type of engine. That's what proper sizing is all about, as you probably know.

Wow, i'm shocked.
The point of wanting those turbos tested was to compare ball bearing and non ball bearing on the same turbo.

Re: (booscivic)
well here is what is slated.
*T4 variety*
GT42R 52 trim (1.01 a/r)
T4/PT67 H cover p-trim (two different a/r small medium)
GT4067 S cover
T4 GT35R
*T3 variety*
3076 (.63 a/r)
T3 GT35R
SC61
I don't know if i can compare anything too similar. as in different a/r on the same turbo. unless i have that a/r laying around.
I'm thinking what will also test is the GT28RS T3 and the non bb version of the 3076.
Does anyone want to see the SC50?
mainly what i'm going to do is do a pump gas tune and a race gas tune.
the manifold i will be using is a Full Race T3 prostreet, Full Race top mount, and I'll throw in my Hytech on a couple ones if i can get it to fit the T4 turbos. It will be run open downpipe for simplicity sake.
motor will be a b18c sleeved 1.8
endyn top end
motec m800 ecu and cdi-8 ignition
datalog files will also be available on motec interpreter
Sorry if i can't do exactly what you want this is cost me tons of money already.

Re: (SEFIxCivic)
Maybe if you spark enough interest people would be willing to loan you turbochargers or donating some money. I wouldn't mind donating some money here and there if this is definite.
I would like to see the following
* SC61E T350 .63
* SC61S T350 .48
* GT35R .63
* GT35R .48

Re: (0x64)
There is no .48 A/R GT35R housing to the best of my knowledge. Smallest Garrett makes is like .82 or whatever, and PTE casts their own .63 A/R housing to use on small displacement motors. I don't think PTE has a .48 A/R housing for Stage 5 wheels either.

Re: (turboEGhatch)
Precision did offer the SC61 T350 with a .48 A/R turbine housing configuration. Things may have changed. I'm sure even if they didn't if a customer requested it they would do it. Same goes for the Precision GT35R.
