The S366 is alittle big for your goals. The S362 is more street friendly. I have a couple customers that are making 500whp on pump gas and over 650whp on race gas with the S362.

The 66 can support over 700whp.

both those turbos are over his $900 budget by about $300+ also and for the money i like the S366

Found out what the hard way? You haven't built or owned ****, so don't even talk.

I think the 3082 is a little small on the turbine side. Air needs to get out just as much as it needs to go on. I'd run a 3582R and be done with it.

I think that to hold out on a GT35R which suits your goals about as perfectly as any other turbo, simply because of a few hundred dollars cost and having to run coolant lines would be rediculous. Coolant lines aren't hard to run.

Based upon all of these constraints, I'd say your options are limited.

Used T3/T67 (H.O. or otherwise)
GT4088 Journal bearing (typically it comes in T4 flanging)

Or save a bit more... S362

This isn't a cheap hobby. In order to get a turbo that fits your exact needs is going to be very hard, but i think in the end, your best bet is either the Journal Bearing GT4088 or the BW S362

GT4088 its good size cheap and works great.

to 187Chor: thats not the best advice turbos make heat and without proper cooling for the bearings dont even bother

depends on what you consider laggy but expect spool up around 4500-4700rpms. all the questions you are asking are going to vary from motor to motor. give some details on your set-up

good set-up
the best way to decrease backpressure is to go with a larger turbine A/R. and have ATLEAST a 3" DP and exhaust.
lag time on the T67 is around the same time as the GT4088. theres no decent way your going to hit 600Whp on a t3 .63a/r turbine. on a 1.9L so strach it off the list. as someone mentioned earlier look at a T67 high output from full-race, but that turbo is also in the $1000+ ball park
