Anyone had any hands on exp with the comp entry level turbos. Hard not to ask when you see the prices. Id like to hold out for one of macs units but budget is always the reason i never finish my builds lol. Thought i had found a used reaper locally that ended up being a bust...... was looking at the 5857 or billet 5858.

Don't buy the EPM its crap. T1 trigger and dont look back. i would run stock dizzy for signal before running EPM. You can use obd2 oil pump and utilize the oe crank trigger with aem along with the dizzy if you dont want to pony up for a T1 cam trigger setup. Im piecing one together and i've saved a lot of money.

Are you srs? I thought they were solid? Calidad is running one. I haven't really read up on any problems with the newer ones.
What's the t1 trigger running? I know you need the cam and sensor. I want to get rid of my dizzy so its one or the other.

I was talking to bmxkills about it a few weeks ago. He is doing his block with filler and he has a couple friends who daily on them. No issues. You could ask him in his build thread about it.

You dont fill the whole water jacket when doing the block filler and if you have the holes matched up to the gasket you will not have heat issues. IMO put it does a little from the top so coolant can sit around the top of the cylinder.
The T1 triggers are 550 I believe. Right now i have 100 in a new sensor, 50 in a bracket and My engine builder is putting the magnets in my Crower cam gear. I'm buying a t1 trigger / k-coil harness to make things more simple.

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**
honesntly everything aem is **** these days... they don't actually make anything, they just take other people's technology and relabel it
example
the series 1 and 2 ems is licensed from GEMS
the infinity is licensed from EngineLab
most of their methanol stuff is reboxed from snow
their EGT amplifier is also licensed from another company, EGT technologies or something
their sensors are all relabeled
when I was at PRI at the AEM booth and asked the guy who they borrowed their tech from he was like "we dont". after I rattled off that list he was like how do you know this and got so pissed. trololol
trolling an entire company never gets old.

OEM sensors + dumb coils + nothing else needed = profit

I wouldn't go 85mm personally on stock sleeves with concrete block.
It's going my builder has internals already and is working on it. We should be up and ready to run at Ennis end of this month.

What have you been able to add since going from s300 to AEM ems? Sensor wise?
I just have oil temp sensor, fuel pressure, and oil pressure.
