**Need advice on performance brake pads**
I am looking for front and rear brake pads for my G2 GSR.
Which pads heat up the quickest? Are there any drawbacks about these pads aside from more brake dust? Do they squeal?
I am looking for a street pad not racing pad. I am considering Porterfields and Hawk HPS. Hawk does not make rear pads in Hawk HPS and HP Plus for G2 & G3 GSRs.
Do you guys know of a place that sells pads at a low price? I would really appreciate your knowledgeable advice.

I really like the AEM pads. Low noise, quick heat up, very little fade, and the pads dust a silver color, keeping your rims clean. A full set will run you under 100 bucks.

Re: **Need advice on performance brake pads** (VaporTrail)
Yeah this should not have been posted in FI... but..
I too like my AEM pads. They are made by Nissin the same people that make the stock pads (they actually make almost the entire brake system on my car...).
No fade, they dust silver as VaporTrail mentioned... and they were relatively affordable. I have never autoxed on them, but I cannot complain.

I can't decide between the Porterfield R4-Ss and Hawk HPS.
Why do the Hawks squeak for some people? Does it still squeak with anti squeak compound applied to the backing plates and shims?
