$100 d16y7 turbo setup
Looking at picking up an EK hatch with a stock d16y7.
I'm going to have the car on the road for less then $600. It'll be a winter car.
Is there such thing as a super budget turbo setup? I'm talking like a couple hundred dollars max. Looking to run low boost, say a maximum of 5psi.
I'm imagining mostly used parts with some junkyard stuff. I'm not new to wrenching, although I've never done a turbo setup before.
If it's impossible, that's fine, just thought I would ask.

Do you know how to weld? $100 is silly, but if you build your own manifold and downpipe, and buy a junk yard turbo off a Saab (or a Subaru, but good luck finding one of those...), you would still need to buy injectors, and you would still need to get a tune. DSM blue tops injectors flow ~450cc/min, and are a good entry-level injector for like, $150 on eBay. The tune alone will cost you near $500 from most competent tuners.
A bare bones, absolute cheap as **** setup with a lot of DIY, plus the cost of a tune, you might be able to get away for a grand. That's assuming you can weld. If you can't, be ready to spend more like $1500. And don't even consider one of those $400 eBay specials - those things are as likely to blow up as they are to not even fit right, and you still need to shell out the money for a tune.

Tune I can do myself, with access to an unlocked ECU. I've never turned on a honda platform so I'm not sure what options there are for piggyback/standalone.
No chance at pulling some used injectors at the yard from a different platform and cleaning them up?
