"JRSC" Rotors vs. "Mercedes" Rotors
I bought a JRSC here that needed a rebuild bad. I bought a M64 out of a Mercedes to get new rotors. The rotors are exactly the same but i noticed that the ones out of the JRSC are heavier.
I weighed them, Mercedes: 1100 grams (2.425 lbs), JRSC: 1500 grams (3.3 lbs).
Thats a drop of 27%.
If you want to use the Mercedes ones, you just have to cut the shaft, the shaft is longer because of the clutch.
The Mercedes rotors are also balanced on the side.
JRSC = 3rd gen. Eaton, Mercedes = 4th/5th gen. Eaton???

It think it's out of a SLK. The shaft is the same, just extended for the clutch. Also only one shaft is longer, the one from the second is exactly the same as in the JRSC.
I'll get you pics later this week.

And if you need new bearings, call "INA USA" or "INA Germany" (Manufacturer), they cost just a dollar there for 10.

This plate (how would you name it?) is also the same:
I'll write a "How to rebuild your JRSC using a Mercedes blower" this week, to whom can i email the How To for correction?

We'll also test if the IAT will also drop due to the reduced mass. I guess so, but who knows?
But it should free some HP for sure.

I would like to congratulate you on your findings. I am a long way off from a rebuild on my blower but I'll have to keep this info in mind. Keep up the good work.

Andre, if you ever do this How-To for the Mercedes rotors, I would love to try this as soon as I need to rebuild my JRSC.
Good point that the internal ambient temp might go down, but is the material a much more refined aluminum version than the JRSC or some sort of alloy? Endyn was experimenting a few years back with making the JRSC rotors out of thermo plastic and I believe carbon fiber.....

Sorry, can't tell. The rotors are teflon coated like the JRSC ones, you don't see any difference. I'm not Clark Kent

Ahhh, if you make this work, it would also mean less reciprocating mass and that would free up a slice of hrosepower (theoreticaly).

Anything to keep you from running the clutch from the SLK? Is the clutched pulley just too divergent in design to mesh with the Honda, or is it an offest problem?

The JRSC / Honda motor spins counter clockwise, the Mercedes clockwise.
But you can do this:

notice the bolt holes don't line up.
can't and won't happen.
Just spin da beotch backwards!!!!!!!
Laugh if you want, but a flick of the switch (clutch) nets 50 hp and 60 tq.
