Hello all,
I recently traded in my old CRV for a Jazz/Fit 2021 Hybrid Executive. It's from a dealer and under warranty and I am going to contact them again but wanted to seek some advice here as well, please.

Situation: NL - All honda sensing working fine under normal conditions, Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, etc.

Holiday: 2 teenagers on the back seats and a Twinny Load bicycle rack on the tow-bar with a connected 13-connector. The towbar has a 75kg max sticker but the rack plus 2 bicycles does not exceed this. The tow bar is not to be used for pulling carts or caravans etc. Only bicycle racks. Luggage in the back of course.
This is a picture of the bike rack, a Twinny Load Swing FFK of 16 kg:
We were off to France on a 650 km trip and I turned off the parking sensors at the start.
After about 100km the front collision light went to amber and at that point it was not possible to use the (adaptive) cruise control anymore.
At some point later on the trip various other warnings lights flashed, from my memory the Brake Hold, the ((ES)) and ((EP)) sign and the 'slippery' sign went amber. I couldn't switch off the amber sensors for the surrounding environment at that moment anymore. One was amber and the other two green.

The front camera was fine because speed limit detection was working fine, for example.
Once the rack was off the car, the warning lights were off and driving was ok again.

The manuals indicate that certain sensors might not be working when the car is under heavy load, or tilted, which I can understand.
However, I would like to be able to switch off the three CMBS sensors and still be able to use the cruise-control.
The rack was used without a problem with my 2007 CRV (which of course did not have that many sensors, but did have cruise control)
Questions:

would it help to turn off the CMBS sensor(s) before mounting the rack so I will stil be able to use the ACC?

would it help to not connect the plug to the electrical socket? (the lights from the car are still visible with the rack on)

is there a 'reset' procedure for the sensors that I could use to indicate that the car has some load but is otherwise fine? (Like the tyre pressure thing)

Any other tips are welcome as well, of course and thanks in advance!
FYI: the holiday was very nice and the car is a pleasure to drive with all these 'modern' features, fuel consumption is more than half of the CRV which is nice as well, so I am not sorry to have bought it at all. Just would like to use CC with the bike rack.
