I noticed that my spare tire well has a huge rust spot that is around 18" x 18". I do not know any friends that can weld in a new panel due to how thin the metal is and I dont think it would be worth if I had to pay a couple hundred to a few thousand for a pro to do the job. could I get away with using rivets and methacrylate adhesive / panel bond and have it pass safety inspection and be road legal or will I have to pay someone to weld it?
