After 215,000 miles, the crank pulley/harmonic balancer **** the bed. Symptoms: A very clear noise of a failing belt/bearing was present in the engine compartment, particularly at cold start. The A/C stopped working.
Crank pulleys and harmonic balancers are typically "iron clad" dependable and not typically something that you would commonly call a "wear issue." But Honda choose to make the late model items with a hard rubber core to reduce NVH.
In time, nearly 20 years of daily use, that rubber core has retired and needed to be replaced. Once replaced, the A/C compressor now has a better grip on the accessory drive belt and creates cold air again.
I mention all of this only because this was a "new to me" situation and I thought I would share with the community.
