Wiring ECB-1 flex fuel to S300 V3
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how to wire and get the S300 to read flex fuel content using an Innovative motorsports ECB-1 gauge. Right now I have the gauge operating and reading correct. I have it wired to pin D10 at the ECU (obd 1). My ELD on the S300 is showing .86 volts. The 0-5v wire coming off the back of the gauge is showing the same .86 volts. The gauge is showing 8.6% ethanol. However the flex fuel sensor on the "sensors" tab E% is showing 0. What could I be doing wrong here to get no reading on the S300?

If you use an analog input for ethanol hondata will not show ethanol percentage. It will still compensate for ethanol content though. Hondata only shows ethanol percent if it is getting its reading from the digital input. One solution might be to tap in to the digital output directly from the ethanol sensor and wire that to the digital ethanol input on the s300 board.

Re: Wiring ECB-1 flex fuel to S300 V3
I've been reading older threads (S300 v2) and it doesn't seem like our ECUs can handle true flex fuel even though Hondata has the option. Does Hondata S300 v3 fully support flex fuel capabilities? I'm looking into adding a sensor so I can run E85 and pump gas w/o re-flashing fuel maps or emptying my tank every time I switch up fuel type.

yes it works on the s300 but there are limitations. I currently have my car tuned on full e85 map with a high low boost toggle switch wired in to compensate for instances where I fall below 50% ethanol as per my tuner. The s300 only compensates for timing based on the E% but does not turn down the boost. This is my understanding... If you want to run a true flex fuel tune ur best bet is to get an AEM ecu.

With that setup it sounds like my tuner is confident I can run pump gas and E85 w/o worrying about switching out fuel types or making sure I put x number of gallons of E85, etc.
With these new updates are there still any limitations that is stopping my car from having a true flex fuel setup?
