Default Wide band o2 question

Hi I was woundering if you can buy a wide band o2 sensor and wire it up in place of the stock cat narrow ban o2 sensor and also wire it up to a a/f meter. If so how and what do I buy a 4wire like the stock one or a different one. Thanx

No. A wideband needs its own meter to go with it. Be it Innovate, AEM UEGO, Bosch or other company.

Yeah I know that but can the meter be wierd up to the stock narrow band wires on the o2 signal wire on the ecu so it can read the o2. And not throw a code

No. Unfortunately, it's more than just wiring that allows that wide band to work in any capacity

It is my impression that a number of wideband controllers have narrowband outputs to simulate the signal that the narrowband sensor would provide to the ECU. There is the issue with the ECU detecting an issue with the heater circuit though so I'm not sure how that works.

Yes. Innovate Motorsports, and I think the AEM UEGO, make wideband O2 controllers that allow for programmable narrow band outputs to wire up to the stock ECU inputs. But you can't just go out and buy a 4-5 wire wideband AFR (Air Fuel sensor) and wire it up direct to the ECU O2 input.
