Tb coolant line help (d16y8)!!
I’ve searched and can’t seem to find what I need. I have a d16y8 mini swap. The Tb coolant line is just capped off.. been like this since I’ve had it. And since I’ve had it it’s had idle issues. Also the line that comes from the iacv that I think goes to the Tb is actually going into another line. Do I need it to go to my Tb? Or am I ok like it is? Could that cause idle issues? I currently have my Tb off. Here is a photo off the line that comes from the iacv into another line that I’m thinking should go to the Tb if you can make since of it. And if I connect that line to the Tb should I just block off where it currently connects to that fitting? Hope you can make since of this lol. Any help is much appreciated!!! (D16y8 mini me, y8 intake and Tb, y7 block, 5 speed). Thank you!

Re: Tb coolant line help (d16y8)!!
I missed that there are two fittings on the Tb. I’m assuming that’s where I’d hook the other line up, and then the other to the iacv. My mistake. But with the Tb by passed would this cause me idle high and low issues? That’s a problem I’m having. I’ve have read mixed answers, but more answers say no that it will not cause problems. Not sure if I posted in the right place.

No, running coolant through your T/B will not fix your idle problem. Cutting your current coolant line (pictured above) in half and connecting the IACV side to one of the T/B fittings and connecting the other to the second T/B fitting will help keep your throttle blade from freezing closed in really cold weather.
