how much hp do you pick up from adding timing
my car picked up 30 hp from adding 2 deg of timing is that normal on a turbo car. i am on pump gas 93 oct. my car seems to be liking high timing 18 deg made 400hp on 18psi added timing nothing else picked up 30hp with 2 degrees more i stopped there. i just did not want to push any more. also its a f22 with 8.2 to 1 compression.

The answer to how much hp do you pick up from adding timing really is dependent to the specific application at hand etc. There is no general rule of thumb that says 2 degrees = x whp etc.

welcome to tuning ash.
F22's like a lot of timing from my experience. you have a lot of room for error, especially with the even lower compression than stock that you have. dont be afraid to give it a little more. learn to read plugs.
