Default Hondata S300 V3 USB Cable?

Hey guys,

I just purchased a s300 locally and it did not come with a usb cable, I searched on the hondata website and theyre asking $30 shipped for the replacement. Do I have to go with this one or can I get other cable with the same connector ends? I believe theyre all usb 2.0. Thanks!

Any usb A to usb B cable will work. The hondata cables uses a ferrit bead which helps with electronic noise. I've used with, and without the ferrit bead and never had any issues.

Amazon has any USB cable you need for like $5 or less. Get a USB A to USB B, an extension adapter and a panel mounted USB port to mount somewhere on the dash so you can keep the ecu tucked away

Whole setup costs about $20
