Default EP3/K20R, CAMCMD<>CAM

Greetings HT! This is from my EP3/K20R swap w/KPro, in which I changed the oil (M1 5w30) and filter (Filtech) yesterday. Steve from ETunez pointed out this variation to me initially and suggested an oil/filter change as a first step, but that didn't help. Steve's suggested next step was to replace the VCT actuator.

This pic shows +/- 4* of variation; according to the tuner it should be "rock solid".

I've pulled the valve and the piston moves when energized, and the corresponding screen was perfectly clean. Is the next stop the actuator itself?

The motor came from HMO and that Steve recommended that I change the chain tensioner, so I bought and installed a new one from Hybrid Racing. The swap only has about 3000 miles on it.

Thanks in advance!
