anyone tryed reading a bin file off a ostrich with a burn1?

found out emutility will read a ostrich, so that helps me out!

I have done this a few times to retrive maps that I forgot to save and then had a tuning program crash while tuning.

Never for what you are trying to do. But it is possible when you are tuning with a normal bin file, I have done it multiple times.

Just select AT27C256 as the chip type and it should work, atleast I believe that is what I used.

It doesn't work for all Ostrich firmwares.

you mean specifically, it doesnt work with ECTUNE.

i know calvin worked with moates to make a firmware that tied in it more closely with ectune to prevent such things.

BUT, i just need this to work in crome.

i've learned about emutility and how it can read a ostrich, so i'll be giving it a try.

that map saved as a .bi...so watch the file name..make sure it ends in .bin
