Inquiry: Which ECU is needed to run a JDM B20B Swap?
I want to get my car tuned... I currently have a ’99 Civic Hatchback with a JDM B20B swap running off a USDM P75 OBD2A ECU (there is a OBD2B-to-OBD2A jumper harness). The CKF Bypass trick has been completed. Currently, it is set-up with a stock Non-VTEC motor & manual transmission. But maybe one of these days, I might set it up as a B20-VTEC motor (with manual trans) for a bit more fun.
For tuning, I would need to switch to an ODB1 ECU and would like to know which one to purchase?
Can I use a VTEC ECU on a Non-VTEC motor?
I know that I will need to purchase the OBD2B-to-OBD1 jumper harness.

Just about any non-VTEC OBD1 ECU can be chipped to run your engine - P05, P06, PR4, or P75. You can also use a VTEC ECU and disable VTEC in the programming. Your VTEC options are P28, P30, P61, P72 or PR3.
If you can't find one locally, PM me as I have them in stock.
