b16a vtec problem

Hello Fellas

I have a problem with my B16A, 3 months ago I changed cams (skunk2 stage 2 tuner series), Cometic Head gasket, Nippon B16B Pistons and rings, OEM Valve Stem seals, ACL Race bearings kit, skunk2 double springs and valve retainers.

The problem starts when vtec is active, it looks like lack of fuel, i already made some tests, I changed oxigen sensor, fuel pump, and fuel regulator but the problem persits.

I will appreciate any help!!!

thanks fellas

You need to have your car tuned. Simply put, the engine needs much more fuel to match the increased airflow with your new cams.

yes, this is very clear for me but 1 month ago a friend of mine tuned using wideband and the car felt great, it ran 13.5 the 1/4 mile but now it feel slow, as a point when it was tuned I used another distribuitor because mine the igniter blowed.

Last night we used the wideband 02 trying to find the problem, I don't know why sometimes the fuel air ratio is very rich when vtec is active but sometimes it decreased and is when the problem happened.

What could be??? I installed another inyectors for testing.

Re: b16a vtec problem

No codes were found, but afortunately I found the cause, it was the inyectors, I replaced them and the problem was resolved.

I hope this will be helpful to someone with the same problem

Thanks fellas!!!!!
