I'm sorry to bring this back up from the dead, I started a thread relating to this topic but have yet to get a response. My situation is very similar, but the difference is this: I have an B18B1 block, C1 mains and girdle (and windage tray, pick up, and oil pump). I plan on using all the main caps, instead of just 2-4. I have a brand new ls crank. Now I finally have money for bearings, I was thinking about going ACL or King race bearings. For which motor should I buy bearings? Has anyone been in my situation? If it makes any difference, i'm using eagle rods and weisco 81.5mm pistons. The block has already been to the machine shop and bored to match the pistons. Recently I came up on a GSR short block, which was in great condition. So I liked the idea of caps, girdle, oil pump, ect. But now i'm unsure which bearings to buy, and if i'm even capable of buying bearings as a kit, or if I will need to get different rods from mains and bushings, or need to go oversized, or whatever. The crank is brand new.

again, sorry for bringing this back up from the dead, my thread has received zero response.
