Default B18b1 - Damage

Hello I currently have a damaged b18b1 block and i just dont know if is worth working with it and if affects the compression. Damage is on the #2 combustion chamber lower area

Default Something wrong with #2 cylinder

i have a b18b1 engine block with a damaged #2 combustion chamber or sleeve whatever you want to call it and i dont know if it will affect the combustion wich it shouldent but just need a second opinion

Looks like a rod contacted at some point. That's nothing to be concerned with, that is no worse than a notching for aftermarket h-beams. It'll be fine!

Clean it up before re assembly, but it should work out OK. Dremel out the rough spots and make sure you get all the dust/debris out.

Basically just to make sure no small piece ever breaks off and floats through your oil, which is already unlikely but since the block is apart you may as well do some housekeeping.
