Default Fresh machined gar crank hard to spin crank when installed

Hi everybody I知 new to the formuns and need some advice. Today I went to go Gap my pistons rings for my gsr block I知 rebuilding. Now the block is on a engine stand with only the crank installed I spun the crank over a couple times and it move fairly easy by hand but I heard a faint scraping noise immediately remove the crank to find it was hitting a oil squirter. Solved that issue and reinstalled the crank. After torquing down all the main cap to spec and checking to see if the crank clears them all I notice that it seemed a bit harder to spin (only crank installed no pistons or rods) on initial rotation once it痴 spinning is not so hard to move. Does anyone have any feedback or has anyone experience anything like this?

Did you install the crank caps in the correct location and in the correct orientation? They are labelled for position and orientation

Oem bolts, std acl痴 and I知 finna check the clearances but the machine shop said everything was standard and the crank spun very easily b4 I notice the crank was slightly scrapping the oil squirter.

Are you sure that the crank girdle/caps came from this original motor?I saw that in the past someone installed another crank caps/girdle from another block.Get some plastigauge for check you clearance first!

My block has a different crankshaft and it's fine. Just as long as the clearance is within spec and bearings are the correct size, it will work fine.

there's a difference between crankshaft and crank caps. you can swap cranks to no end. You can not swap crank caps without major machine work
