I have ordered a lot of parts for my build - https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...ident-3276594/ , and now I have hit that point where I am losing stuff.

I am getting ready to put everything together and thought I would start low by getting the oil pan on. I ordered the little gasket for the oil pick-up tube/strainer, but I cannot find it anywhere!

Very disappointing...

If you were me, would you:

1. Re-use old gasket - flip it over maybe
2. Ultra Gray - Permatex
3. Right Stuff - Permatex
4. Call to local dealer in the morning - it is used in a lot of CR-Vs...

I always wondered, is there anything special about the cardboard card these paper gaskets are made from?

Always thought, card stock is pretty easy to come by and I am not sure why you couldn't cut your own gaskets with an exacto knife for things like the oil pick up tube or the intake manifold gasket.

It doesn't feel like anything special - feels like a playing card.

The one place I don't want to screw around is with oil supply though...

Oh agreed, I wouldn't mess with that gasket either.

The one I would be brave enough is the intake manifold. The worst that will happen is a leak forms and the car idle surges telling you that you need to replace the gasket.

I was just hoping someone had some information on the material used, like it's a tyvek type card stock or some other petroleum resistant paper or something.
