Bottom end bearing scratched
 
Hey i just got my D16A back from the machine shop, is this bad if its scratched, where the bearings and crankshaft sit? Can i still use it.

you said you picked the block up from the machine shop like that?
Was it like that before you dropped it off?
Makes me wonder if the machine shop switched your block with someone else's. That happens more often than you might think.

To answer your question, it might be useable. But I definitely wouldn't use it in my car.

Based on the pics that you have posted... I would say that block is junk. Scrap money.

what happens if i use it? It will spin a bearing?

It can put uneven pressure on different parts of the bearing, which warps the bearing and causes drastically uneven wear spots. Which also overheats the bearing, and can cause it to collapse, and then finally yes spin the bearing.

Yup block is junk. Pic of middle one, looks like it got compressed towards the left side, no good.

I would go back to the machine shop and tell them they screwed up.
