Re: Block Sleeving and parts fabrication
You must be who did my block. I went through Chris at Xenocron. Turn around was great, the shipper I used did a crap job packaging it and caused some damage during shipping and it was fixed for no extra cost.
Not to mention the workmanship looks top notch.

Re: Block Sleeving and parts fabrication
I always enjoy proper fabrication work, makes me miss working at the machine shop
I'm curious though, any issues with scavenging on the Subaru with the pump mounted that high? I know there isn't a lot of room to work with given the engine layout.

It is the chamfer that is still showing. Saves cutter inserts not taking more than needed off of the sleeve. The sleeves that are not chamfered on the flat edge look like this. There is veryyyy little gap on the ones that you are referring too. It's just a aesthetic thing I've never had any issues with leaving the small amount of chamfer on there.

Re: Block Sleeving and parts fabrication
The installation of Darton sleeves has a specified clearance between the sleeves...as per Darton and other manufacturers. This is built into the recommended bore offset and the machined flat tolerances per blueprint. As the engineer for the Darton sleeves states, "this clearance is for the sealant used between the sleeves".
